Kremlin’s Fury Unleashed: Putin Vows to Hit Any Western Forces in Ukraine

by admin477351

The Kremlin has unleashed its fury over a Western plan for Ukraine’s future, with President Vladimir Putin vowing to militarily strike any foreign troops that enter the country. His statement that such forces would be “legitimate targets” is an unambiguous threat designed to intimidate Kyiv’s allies and derail their postwar security planning.
The focus of Putin’s anger is a 26-nation initiative, promoted by France, which aims to provide Ukraine with security guarantees through a military deployment once the war ends. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has voiced support for a significant presence. Putin’s warning, however, aims to frame any such deployment as a hostile act that would be met with force.
Moscow’s hardline position is intended to exploit and deepen the existing divisions in Europe. While France is advocating for a bold step, other major players like Germany and Italy are strongly opposed to committing troops, fearing a direct and catastrophic clash with Russia. This has already led to the plan being significantly watered down.
All this unfolds as the diplomatic track remains completely frozen. The prospects for a peace deal are virtually nil, with Putin himself calling an agreement “practically impossible.” His conditional offer for a meeting in Moscow is seen by Kyiv as a hollow gesture, further underscoring the vast gulf between the two sides.
