Zelenskyy Says Ukraine Will Propose Alternatives to US-Russia Draft Deal

by admin477351

Zelenskyy said he is preparing alternative proposals after rejecting Trump’s peace plan. The current deal, partly drafted by a Putin envoy, requires Ukraine to surrender territory and reduce its army. Ukrainian leaders say it undermines national survival.
Trump wants the agreement signed by Thanksgiving. He believes Ukraine cannot stop Russian advances. Ukrainian officials call the plan unrealistic.
Zelenskyy warned that Ukraine faces unprecedented pressure and a potentially devastating winter. Russia continues striking power stations nationwide. Rejecting the US-backed plan could worsen the crisis.
He said Ukraine would work with Washington but would not violate its constitution. He emphasized the need for peace that prevents future invasions. He said Ukraine has survived too much to surrender now.
European allies backed Kyiv’s decision to propose alternatives. They said peace must reflect Ukraine’s sovereignty, not Moscow’s demands.
